Our Impact
Highlights of Our Past Service Projects
Since our founding in November 2021, MAEVE South San Joaquin has been committed to making a positive impact in our community. Through a variety of service projects, we've engaged our members and local partners to support those in need, protect our environment, and strengthen the bonds within our community. From organizing food drives and clothing donations to hosting charity auctions and park cleanups, our efforts reflect the core values that drive our organization.
School Supply Drive for Ray of Hope
For the second year in a row, we hosted a school supply drive for Ray of Hope, focusing on gathering school essentials and bottled water for homeless and needy children.
Silent Auction Supporting Ray of Hope Children's Crisis & Resource Center
In June 2023, we hosted a Silent Auction among attendees to benefit one of our favorite organizations, Ray of Hope Children’s Crisis & Resource Center. Thanks to the generosity of our community and the businesses that supported our efforts, we were able to raise over $500 for the organization.
Animal Shelter Supply Drive Supporting Manteca Animal Shelter
We exceeded our goal in collecting supplies for the Manteca Animal Shelter, gathering 48 slip leashes, 12 enrichment toys, and 58 cans of wet cat food. This drive showcased the power of collective effort and community spirit.
Donation of Handmade Beanies to Ray of Hope
Our Crochet Club worked diligently to create handmade cozy beanies, which were then donated to Ray of Hope to help keep children warm during the winter months.
Sneaker Recycling Fundraiser with GotSneakers?
Our chapter proudly collected approximately 50 pairs of sneakers for a fundraiser in partnership with GotSneakers?, a sneaker recycling organization. This initiative allowed us to raise funds for our chapter while contributing to a global effort to reduce waste and promote sustainability.
Volunteer and Children's Education Classes at Gardenjoy
We partnered with Gardenjoy Community Garden to volunteer in planting, harvesting, and maintaining the garden. This event was open to the public and included free educational classes for children, making it a great opportunity for families to get involved.
School Supply and Water Drive for Ray of Hope
During the summer, we collected school supplies and bottled water for the at-risk youth served by Ray of Hope Children's Crisis Center. The event coincided with the Manteca School District's Free Summer Meal Program, where kids enjoyed a barbecue and fun activities while parents donated supplies.
Charity Auction for Ray of Hope Children’s Crisis & Resource Center
In June 2022, we organized a charity auction at our 1st annual member banquet featuring a fantastic selection of donated items from local businesses. All proceeds from the auction were donated to Ray of Hope Children’s Crisis & Resource Center, an organization dedicated to serving the most vulnerable children in our community.
Clothing & Food Drive for Ray of Hope Children's Center
We organized a clothing and food drive to support Ray of Hope Children's Crisis and Resource Services. Our community came together to donate children's clothing, diapers, formula, and baby food to support programs that help children in need due to homelessness, poverty, or crisis situations.
