Our organization is powered by moms, for moms—and we couldn’t do it without you! As a nonprofit, we rely on the support of our members to sustain and grow our efforts.

Member Contributions

What are annual member contributions?

Many members choose to support MAEVE by making an annual contribution, while others help by volunteering or planning events. We invite you to consider how you’d like to contribute—whether through a donation, volunteering your time, or both. Every bit of support helps make your community stronger!

Where does my contribution go?

As a member supported nonprofit, we rely on member contributions (supplemented with fundraising) to support our chapter’s operations, mission, and expenses. Here are some specific areas that you can expect your member contribution to support:

  • General Operating Expenses (website domain, bank service fees, postage, Venmo and PayPal fees, etc.)

  • Advertising Supplies (banner, flyers, signs, etc.)

  • General Outreach Fund

  • Member-Only Activities/Parties

  • New Member Gifts

  • Service Project Funds

  • End of Year Banquet

You are always welcome to make a general contribution, and we will use it for what is needed, or specify an area you’d like your contribution to go directly toward.  Receipts are available upon request.

If you’re unable to give monetarily, there are plenty of ways you can give back to the chapter with your time.  Volunteering can be anything that helps the chapter!  Most commonly, this is helping lead and organize a service project within our community, or volunteering your time to assist the Board in executing member activities.  Another great way to contribute to our chapter is being on the Board or in a chair position.  None of this is mandatory and volunteer time isn’t tracked. You choose when and how you'd like to volunteer when the opportunities present themselves.

How much should I contribute?

MAEVE has instituted a unique approach using equity pricing, a sliding scale of $0-100+, in an effort to increase accessibility and remove the burden for those experiencing financial hardship.  This system does involve compassion and an understanding that those who choose to give more will be offsetting those that may not be able to donate at this time.

The average contribution per chapter truly varies! To give you an idea (as everyone asks!), the average usually lies between $30-100, with returning members donating more, knowing the value our organization offers.

Is my contribution confidential?

Absolutely and we insist upon it. Only select board members involved in the administration process have access to contribution information. Any member violating this policy is subject to expulsion.
